Do you want to want to play hard, be goofy and make a difference! Camp Wingate*Kirkland seeks energetic, responsible, and fun-loving staff with prior experience working with children to join our team.

As a counselor you are the most important ingredient for a successful camp. Your major responsibility is to supervise a group of campers to provide a safe, fun, and exciting camping experience.

Your duties as a camp counselor should be taken extremely seriously. As a counselor your job involves listening, sharing, guiding, and advising campers, and helping them to adjust to new situations, giving encouragement, and caring about each camper as an individual.

Camp W*K offers a summer community in which campers can thrive. In order to create this community, counselors must be enthusiastic, energetic, responsible and caring. It is important that bunk counselors realize that they are on duty any time they are around campers or at Camp, role modeling appropriate behavior and being available for all campers. Counselors should strive to create a safe and fun environment in which learning and growth can flourish.

An active member of the W*K community, counselors at Camp W*K split their time as bunk counselors and programmers. They are responsible for the overall well-being of the children they are living with in the bunk. As programmers they are expected to offer four activity periods a day. Why sit behind a desk or work slinging burgers when you could be playing outside, swimming in our pond and making incredible memories. Visit our Web site www.campwk.com for more information or to fill out an application.
