EXPECTATIONS:
Serve as a leader, positive role model, and upstanding member of the Camp Chi staff team
To be responsible for self and camper care
Be present and participatory in all cabin and village activities
Embody and demonstrate Camp Chi’s core values of kindness, community and respect
Communicate proactively, regularly and openly with supervisors, staff members and camp leadership
Adhere to and assist enforcement of Camp Chi’s rules, regulations, and policies
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide a positive and enriching Jewish environment where campers can build self esteem, independence, and, strong individual and group relationships
Monitor and assess camper health, safety and well being
Communicate regularly and proactively with supervisor and co-counselors
Work collaboratively with co-counselors, specialists and other members of the camp community
Oversee and supervise daily camper routines
Develop creative age appropriate cabin and village programs and activities
Implement cabin rules and rituals that embody Camp Chi’s core value
Observe and manage camper behavior
Formally and informally check in with and evaluate campers adjustment to camp
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School graduate or equivalent preferred
Demonstrated ability to work within a team
Passion or desire to work with children in the future
Previous responsibilities in taking care of children is preferred
Must be able to trouble shoot and problem solve in high stress situations
-Knowledge of Jewish Culture

JCC Camp Chi is one of the Midwest's premier resident camps. Each summer, Chi serves boys and girls in 4th-11th grade through two-, four- and eight-week camp sessions. Set on 600 acres near the Wisconsin Dells, Chi offers the best facilities and over 40 specialty activities that aim to build campers' skills and boost self esteem.
