The Procurement/Supply Chain Management (P/SCM) function works in partnership to strategically leverage and manage this spend with a focus on operational excellence and the total cost of ownership represented in the supply chain. The P/SCM function collaborates within Chevron and across the companies we work to deliver goods and services to Chevron safely, reliably, and at a competitive cost. The functions strategic processes include: Category Management, Contracting, Strategic Sourcing, National & Local Content, Market Intelligence, Procurement Operations and Supplier Diversity/Local Content. Our mission is to create a competitive differentiation for Chevron by delivering optimal P/SCM solutions the right materials and services, in the right place, at the right time, at the right cost. Procurement/Supply Chain M.B.A. Analysts: Business Analyst will gain a better understanding of Chevrons business and learn more about its people and culture. This program will provide the participants with a variety of unique experiences that will serve to develop and broaden critical skill sets and competencies as they progress in their development towards leadership roles within the organization. P/SCM Business Analyst will be asked to complete a variety of tasks and may work on several projects simultaneously. The position conducts various supply chain analyses, internal and external market research studies, as well as data and process analysis for Procurement management and cross-operating company procurement teams. Frequent interaction with leadership, senior managers, current program members, and program alumni can be expected. Assignments include supporting Category Management, Contracting, Procurement Operations and other P/SCM activities that support the Technology, Projects & Services, Upstream & Gas, or Downstream, Chemicals & Shared Services organizations. Assignments are driven by organizational and business needs. Prior assignments include but not limited to: -Buying and Expediting -Strategic Capabilities -Spend Analysis -Rate Competitiveness -Quality Management -Project Management Positions are typically located in: -Bellaire, Texas -Houston, Texas -San Ramon, California (headquarters) -Other Locations Required Qualifications: Chevron seeks talented M.B.A. students pursuing a Supply Chain Management degree who meet the following requirements: -Have strong academic performance and career interest in Supply Chain Management. -Demonstrate strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and business acumen. -Demonstrate leadership potential. -Can innovate and look beyond standard practices. -Exhibit excellent communication abilities. -Promote teamwork, diversity, and integrity. -Are open to learning and exploring a variety of Procurement/Supply Chain business areas. -Have three to six years of related work experience. -Geographically mobile.
