Requisition ID#397184 Position Details: -Lead Marine MSRE Process Authority for the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit. -Conduct global OVMSA verification assessments as lead auditor in partnership with the SBU Process Authority, CSC Marine Advisor or HES Advisor. -Publish an Executive Summary, share and review the findings with a) Contract owner b) SBU Process Authority and c) Supply Chain Manager. -Liaise closely with vessel operator to develop a Continual Improvement Plan (CIP), follow up on key findings and feedback results to the assessment team. -Capture process, OVMSA findings and CIP in OVIS (Offshore Vessel Information System). -Support the Regional Marine Safety, Reliability and Efficiency Manager to provide training and mentoring to all Regional Marine Risk Advisors ensuring the consistent application of OVIS throughout the Business Units -Support the Regional Marine Safety, Reliability and Efficiency Manager for any project related activity in the Europe/Africa Region -Participate in Marine HAZIDS, Model Testing and Marine Risk reviews for Major Capital projects and Base Business -Liaise with external Marine contractors such as Marine Warranty Surveyors, Inspectors & vessel operators -Provide voyage monitoring and coordination of weather and security routing -Provide input to the development of the next generation of OVIS including integration with developing systems such as SeaBird and Power BI -Provide subject matter expertise for marine related emergencies, including testing of contingency plans. Participate in marine-related II&R investigations. -Represents Chevron Shipping in a wide range of marine / offshore forums. Recommend and facilitate implementation of new marine technologies as appropriate. -Complete authority and expectation to implement Stop Work Authority (SWA) -Expectation to engage marine contractors to coach, mentor and monitor OE processes; specifically re-enforce Tenets of OperationDo it safely or not at all, and there is always time to do it rightmessages -Expectation to promote the 7 Key Expectations during operator engagements -Actively participate at local and International Marine Safety related forums to share and learn best practices Required Qualifications: -Degree in Nautical Science, Marine Engineering (or equivalent) - in lieu of degree, has sailed in Senior rank (Chief Officer, Chief Engineer or Master) preferably with experience in offshore operations i.e. OSV, Dive Support, Pipelay etc. -Minimum 2 years' experience in Auditing of Marine Operations i.e. ISM/ISO/TMSA -Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines and targets for work completion, often where important data and information needs to come from outside the group and out with direct control. -Ability to analyze, problem solve and use good judgment in making sound decisions quickly. -Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with leaders, team members and internal/external stakeholders, and in a culturally and geographically diverse team. Preferred Qualifications: -Strong Upstream Operations, HES and/or Engineering knowledge and experience. -Familiar with Chevron's OEMS in particular processes such as CHESM, MSW, II&R and able to articulate the interfaces between these processes and MSRE (Marine Safety, Reliability & Efficiency).
