    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    Chiquita is looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join the Treasury/Billing team. We are looking for highly motivated individual who is detail oriented to assist within the department and complete detail deduction collections activities. The Accounts Receivable Analyst position is responsible for assisting and supporting Treasury/Billing department with all accounts receivable functions-credits, deductions, reporting, collections, and other accounting duties as assigned.

    This position is 100% onsite and based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

    JOB RESPONISBILITIES:

    Responsible for Accounts Receivables.

    Respond quickly and accurately to questions from internal and external customers.

    Communicate effectively with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner.

    Prepare reports as needed and requested.

    Process Credit and Debit Memos for shortages, price discrepancy, discounts, freight waiver, uncollectible write-off, returns, duplicate invoices. Ensure and audit credits by checking the supporting and back-up documents.

    Ensure the Credit and Debit Memos are reflected on customer’s account.

    Review MCS for assigned deductions accounts and collect back up documentation to justify the claims.

    Resolves earned, and unearned deduction claims through retrieving back up documentation from Customer, Sales Rep or BQ (Banana Quality).

    Perform other accounting duties as requested

    Assist with other projects and initiatives as requested.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Associates degree required

    Minimum of 3 years accounts receivable and deduction experience, as well as basic understanding of accounting systems, internal controls, process flows, and general accounting

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Experience with Accounts Receivable software.

    Good communication skills both written and verbal.

    Demonstrated attention to detail, organized and the ability to work independently.

    Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and good problem-solving skills.

    Demonstrated ability to analyze information, develop standards and recommend process improvements.

    Demonstrated time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize.

    Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Pivot Table and Word.

    JOB ENVIRONMENT:

    Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

    Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.

    Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.

    Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.

    This position requires satisfactory passing of a drug test in accordance with Florida Statute § 440.102.
