    Job Description

    ** Position Overview:**

    Lead the Skincare Marketing team to ideate, design, and oversee the rollout of the strategic marketing platform for Christian Dior’s Skincare businesses spanning four distinct distribution networks:

    • Open-sell environments (i.e., Sephora, Ulta)
    • Department stores
    • High-image department stores (i.e., Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue)
    • Direct-to-consumer (i.e., Dior.com, pop-up spas).

    These strategic marketing plans should lead to achievement of the Dior Skincare growth objectives and contribute to overall Parfums Christian Dior profitability for the US and North America.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Influence the development of the Skincare product portfolio
      • Leverage consumer data points (quantitative, qualitative, competitive) to influence global marketing partners in creating products that are designed for success in North America – including new product territories, new textures, new claims
      • Identify key claims and any relevant testing necessary to obtain competitive messaging for new and existing hero products
      • Portfolio management to:
        • Identify hero items by distribution network (see the four above)
        • Identify opportunities for any product launches and/or discontinuations
    • Influence the development of communications that promote the benefits and key positioning of skincare franchises and/or hero products
      • Develop expertise of the competitive environment within each distribution network
        • Communicate monthly competitive activity (i.e., sales, new claims, media activity, in-store activity) to key global counterparts and local cross-functional teams
        • Identify differentiating claims that Dior should leverage to build sales, market share, and category ranking
      • Lead the process of developing marketing asset needed to drive new launches and existing hero products
        • Working with PR/Communications on briefs for influencer content
        • Identifying with Media/eRetail media asset needs for brand and retailer-specific campaigns
        • Collaborating with eCommerce teams on product-page needs for visual assets, video assets, and SEO-optimized copy
      • Partner with Visual Merchandising to conceptualize, develop, and execute in-store needs including Visual Weeks, Dior-specific permanent merchandising, brand statements within retailer-specific environments, etc.
      • Support Operational Marketing (especially Trade Marketing) as they build out marketing activations specific to each retailer
      • Lead national (retailer-agnostic) brand marketing initiatives designed to achieve business goals and increase active Dior Skincare clients including: sampling, education/events calendar, seasonal calendar of priorities,
    • Build vision of distribution network (i.e., ideal distribution network among key retailers) and then partner with Operational Marketing on execution
      • Identify which retailers to partner closest with for each segment of the Skincare portfolio
      • Collaborate with Operational Marketing to identify any selling needs specific to executing distribution at retailers including: testers, point-of-sale fixtures, merchandising elements, promotional sets
      • Presenting Skincare marketing strategy and initiatives at retailer meetings and at the annual Dior Commercial Conference
    • Lead pricing exercises for the Skincare portfolio including recommended and gaining alignment on pricing strategy by SKU
    • Oversee reporting of current sales trends and inform future forecast planning
      • Lead team on reporting retail sales and overall product performance monthly – setting annual sales projections and updating annual projections based on YTD performance
      • Anticipate and react to changing sales trends to impact production forecasts – increasing forecast accuracy across both saleable and non-saleable items to reduce excess/obsolete inventory and avoid out-of-stock situations at retail
      • Lead update of retail Skincare sales forecast as part of budget planning exercises
    • Supervise, lead, and develop the Skincare team talent
      • Ensure daily activities are aligned on driving towards the strategic Skincare focus
      • Driving on-time delivery of business needs including procedures, forms, analyses, and reports critical to the execution of marketing plans.
      • Lead accurate reporting and communication of information
      • Ensuring teams remain motivated and engaged
      • Developing business-analytic skills of the team and category-specific skills (i.e., texture evaluation, consumer behaviors)

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of Marketing experience in the beauty industry. Prior skincare experience an advantage.
    • Should be a strategic thinker, an “influencer,” a consensus builder, and excellent team player.
    • Must possess strong analytical skills, good oral and written presentation skills, as well as excellent computer skills, including Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Exhibit a keen ability to be proactive as well as handle a multitude of projects at one time.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
    • A proven and successful people-management track record.
    • Experience being a North America local affiliate market with product development teams abroad.
    • Working conditions include 60% office work, 25% travel, and 15% supervision. One day maximum work-from-home per week.

    While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $230k-$265k.
