    Chromalox Inc is a $220 million international electric thermal solutions business with an ambition to double in size over the next 5 years through organic and acquisitive growth. Recently acquired by the Global Spirax Sarco Engineering Group ($1.5B Annual Revenue/ $8B Market Cap), Chromalox is transforming it’s business model from selling electric heating products to providing advanced thermal solutions while integrating with another Spirax Sarco acquisition of Thermocoax, a France-based thermal electric heating business. These business actions require transformational change of the organization in terms of sales talent capability, organizational culture, and sales results.

    The Engineering Intern – Application Engineering will provide support to the Chromalox Application Engineering team based in Pittsburgh, PA. This an ideal opportunity for a current student who is looking to gain a thorough understanding of Application Engineering to include a practical application of attained knowledge. RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assisting with the development and editing of our Circulation Heater Cost Tool
    • Support other daily Application Engineering duties and projects as needed which may include:
    • Assisting with quoting activity
    • Answering tickets assigned to the group

    Required Skills

    • Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical principles
    • Programming knowledge of Visual Basic or other similar language preferred
    • Ability to manage multiple projects.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external customers
    • Strong learning orientation and ability to take initiative
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
    • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail

    Required Experience

    • Currently in Junior year of Pursuing an Engineering degree; Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
    • Experience: Previous internship experience a plus
  • Qualifications
