  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for developing technologies, products, and product marketing strategies that drive the organization's sales and profitability objectives for the Heat Trace Product Segment in EMEAI and APAC.  Position will manage full product line lifecycle. Position will support the execution of regional growth strategies as it relates to brand development, thought leadership, training, and sales channel support.

    Product Management:  Product management focuses on how to grow the product line, has primary responsibility for standard margin on those products, and how to protect and grow market share for core business. Responsible for:

    • New Product Development: identification, research, project management, and introductory marketing plan
    • Line Maintenance of new and existing products: includes design changes, cost reductions, obsolescence, product life cycles, catalog updates, project management
    • Trend Analysis for product offerings, and market positioning
    • Setting market price strategy through assessment and analysis of competitive position of products in market landscape
    • Grow product margins and support low margin account management
    • Promotional and sales strategy guidance
    • Product training
    • Warehouse inventory management for standard products

     

    Market Intelligence: In addition to owning Product Management responsibilities, this position will also provide focus for predictable growth that will enable Chromalox to:

    • Understand market sectors by conducting an annual situational analysis
    • Identify sales channel needs in relation to our product positioning and performance
    • Identify Chromalox position relative to the competition
    • Identify voice-of-customer (VOC) needs and requirements
    • Identify sources of Chromalox competitive advantage and suggest market strategy to maximize growth.
    • Serve as consulting advisor and partner the regional sales department.
    • Assist Brand Marketing and Sales Management in development of literature, trade show attendance and requirements, and related promotional activities
    • Assist in the integration of the heating and controls product lines into a cohesive product offering
    • Understand channel strategy to achieve targeted prospective customer acquisition and retention targets

    Required Skills

    • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering or equivalent experience.  MBA preferred.
    • EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years of Marketing & Sales experience in a related industry. Proficient at identifying new growth markets, recognizing market trends and developing and executing tactical plans.
    • SKILLS: Able to effectively manage complex projects and execute the plan on time and on/under budget.  Demonstrates ability to be flexible and adapt in a fast-paced environment.  Able to work well with diverse groups and cultures and to participate on cross-functional teams to meet goals and objectives. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
    • TRAVEL: Available when needed to travel, both U.S. and International.
