    Job Description

     

    As part of our team, you will be working with the team to oversee and validate the design and deployment strategy of Company applications and solutions that will be deployed on the cloud. You will also be working with Company IT to ensure that technical standards and guidelines are being followed for these application implementations and will be accountable for monitoring and optimizing the ongoing performance of these cloud solutions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee the design and deployment of company applications in the cloud in order to ensure these align with business client expectations
    • Assess existing application platforms and validate future state designs
    • Review and approve transition plans for each factory application
    • Review and validate high availability, change management, security compliance, monitoring and workload automation strategies for factory solutions
    • Coordinate issue resolution, service restoration and root cause analysis efforts (IT, Vendor and Business Owners) for application factory incidents
    • Recommend tool and process enhancements and oversee the maintenance of automated cloud enablement tools
    • Perform ongoing application performance and resource optimization fine tuning
    • Ensure that all deployments and changes are going through Company’s rigorous change management process
    • Provide IT systems engineering and integration support for application deployment across of range of Company technologies including: CyberArk, Splunk, VMware vCenter, Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Layer 7, Active Directory, Group Policies and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
    • Work with Cloud Architect to establish application factory strategy and roadmap
    • Develop application factory operating model and processes.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Cloud certification(s) – AWS / Google Cloud /Azure
    • 2+ years Cloud Platform and/or Devops experience
    • 5+ years of relevant IT System Engineering experience
    • Working understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) and scripts
    • Minimum 5 yr. of IT Experience (any domain)
    • Project stakeholder communications experience
    • Experience communicating complex technical information to diverse audiences in varied written and verbal formats
    • Demonstrate initiative and ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to identify issues and recognize deviations from accepted practices and processes
    • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
    • Must have own laptop, fast internet connection and experience utilizing CITRIX and/or VPN to access corporate environments

    RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS (Preferred but not mandatory)

    • Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
    • IT Systems Engineering certification and/or experience
    • Cybersecurity certification and/or experience
    • Local to Southern California

    MISC.

    • This is a contract role. The expected duration is 12 months
    • During COVID: Work is 100% remote utilizing CITRIX and/or VPN over a fast internet connection
    • Post-COVID: There may be occasional requests to come onsite to one of the company’s offices located in downtown Los Angeles or San Diego, California
