    RF/Tower Foreman + RF Lead

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The RF/Tower Foreman is responsible for on-site coordination of all work activities. This person performs and supervises the day-to-day telecom construction tasks in order to complete new builds, site modifications and/or equipment upgrades. Foreman train, lead and guide a crew and is committed to performing all job activities in a safe and timely manner while maintaining high quality standards. The Foreman works irregular hours, travels frequently (locally and out-of-state if needed), and works on construction sites in various weather conditions.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3+ years of related experience as an RF Tower Foreman or similar role
    • Good attitude
    • Willingness to get the job done

    · Valid Driver's License

    • Operate with accountability and honesty
    • Strong organizational, problem solving, analytical, math and reasoning skills.
    • Knowledge and understanding of radio frequency, wireless systems including RRH’s, antennas, Diplexers, TMA’s, 4G & 5G networks, and familiarity with all carrier standards

    · General understanding of grounding system design, testing, and maintenance.

    · Problem solve and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

    • Ability to perform job site PIM, SWEEP, OTDR tests, and other troubleshooting as needed

    · Identify and communicate project risks, issues, or changes effectively.

    · Year-round outdoor work is consistently required in this position.

    · Overnight travel is frequently required in this position (hotel and per diem paid).

    · Able to work at heights six feet and greater when provided safety equipment and training

    · Current Com Train or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue Certification preferred

    · Willingness to take hands on approach in leading their team through demonstration.

    · Experience with antenna equipment.

    · Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

    · Ability to stay on task independently and work in a team environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · A foreman is expected to arrive to the jobsite prior to the days start time, manage employee start, stop, break and lunch times, and remain at the jobsite through the end of the day's designated end time.

    · Areas of work include reading plans & blueprints, conduit installation, pulling wire, assembly, layout, equipment mounting/installation, tower climbing, testing/troubleshooting and other duties as assigned.

    · Completes all paperwork – forms for materials & supplies, job status documentation, deliverables & closeout requirements, incident reporting, etc. – and submits to management for processing.

    · Adheres to established company policies and procedures and pays special attention to safety requirements and regulations.

    · Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

    · Managing the day-to-day activities of a group of Tower Technicians

    · Assist the Project Managers and Construction Superintendent with the work outlined in the project construction drawings (CD’s) and RFDS.

    · Always adhere to and enforce company/customer safety standards and Motive work rules Maintain in-depth knowledge of the industry hazards

    · Climbing and working on communications tower for the purpose of installing, replacing and repairing antenna systems equipment and perform tower maintenance under close supervision.

    · Lead/conduct daily/weekly safety meetings and inspections

    · Guide crew(s) through the hazard assessment process

    · Maintain an OSHA compliant work environment

    · Work with the Project Manager to plan, schedule and prepare for projects and activities.

    · Request and order new supplies and equipment as needed

    · Report on project status daily

    · Lead and participate in the work of crews to complete civil work, tower builds and/or upgrades from raw ground to closeout documentation.

    · Prioritizing activities and delegating tasks

    · Providing on-the-job training and mentoring

    · Monitoring work quality and providing performance feedback to the Superintendent or Project Manager.

    · Keeping crews focused and motivated

    · Leading by example

    · Read plans and specifications, drawings, submittals and project schedules.

    · Coordinate subcontractors work on site.

    · Maintain quality construction practices and accuracy standards.

    · Document and report construction progress, including photo documentation of pre, during and post construction conditions.

    · Communicate with client, inspectors, architects, engineers and subcontractors.

    · Help ensure work site is clean and organized

    · Analyzing situations accurately and complete assigned course of action

    · Recognizing safety hazards and performing duties in a safe manner

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    · You must be able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, climb stairs, walk on uneven ground.

    · There is constant lifting of 50 pounds. Lifting also entails reaching at, above and below shoulder height.

     

    WORK SCHEDULE:

    · Must be able to work and maintain a flexible work schedule that includes irregular hours, shift work, weekends, overtime, and holidays.

    · Typically, 8 hours a day 5 days a week

    · Night work is common
