GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director of Physical Therapy, the Physical Therapy Aide provides assistance with patient care as well as departmental maintenance responsibilities.
Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the age-specific needs of the individuals served.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one (1) year experience in a medical setting preferred.
SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
CPR certification is required and must be maintained.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:
Assists with patient care responsibilities, including patient transfers, toileting, exercise program, ambulation training, application of hot pack and cold packs. Performs general clean up responsibilities including changing linens, putting exercise equipment away, re-stocking supply cabinets, disinfecting equipment. Maintains an awareness of general health and safety precautions of patients and alerts necessary personnel of problems observed. Maintains open lines of communication with supervisors and departmental management, especially with regards to patient status.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To qualify, you must be between the ages of 18 and 30
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
A US citizen that has received (or on track to receive) a high school diploma or GED

Maintain focus during workday, both while traveling and working in varied weather conditions.
If taking prescription medications, participants must be able to maintain proper dosage without assistance from others.
