  • Responsibilities

    Under the direction of the Controller , the Senior Accountant provides direct supervision of the accounting staff under the Accounts Payable section, as well as lead and coordination of the accounting staff as it relates to special projects, audits, month end procedures or as indicated/requested by directive of Controller.   In addition is responsible for reviewing, compiling, maintaining, and reporting of financial data, financial analysis, and the preparation of financial statements. Responsible for all aspects of designing and creating financial analyses. Develops and maintains a level of knowledge on all relevant data systems used by EPCH

    Required Skills

    1. Financial analysis capabilities and technical skills.
    2. Knowledge of all standard accounting operating procedures and generally accepted accounting principles.
    3. Knowledge of accounting systems.
    4. Detail oriented with ability to sustain multiple tasks.
    5. Excellent communication and intrapersonal skills. Ability to communicate efficiently with leaders, peers and other employees of EPCH.
    6. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    7. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
    8. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
    9. Knowledge of healthcare a plus.
    10. Time management skills.

    Required Experience

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

          Five years progressively accounting experience required. Specific experience related to hospital financial accounting preferred.

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related Business Field. CPA or Master’s degree preferred
