searching for hungry, driven, creative people who are looking for something new and exciting.  MBE works on major museums, landmark buildings, and skyscrapers and other zoning issues in some of NYCs most notable buildings. MBE has a hand in everything from real estate to renovation to development and we want to expand into new areas. We are searching for interns who want to be a part of our expansion. AS AN INTERN AT MBE, you will…. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to....

• Gather and analyze market data, visualize results and communicate them to executive members of our team with observations and recommendations.
• Earn school credit, when applicable.
• Go to city agency websites (DOB, Finance Department, HPD) to obtain relevant information (buildings, rentals, transportation, property photos, building specs, provided executive summaries of the properties, etc.) to current/prospective projects.
• Learn a variety of functions including finance, revenue, business planning and analytics. 
• Your unique sense of curiosity, creative mindset, and desire to innovate are what we expect you to bring with you every day.
• Work alongside and collaborate with team members to write one-page (sometimes 5, sometimes full) business plans answering crucial business questions that you’ve researched in depth. 
• Effectively communicate essential information about our business plans in an exciting visual presentation (pitch deck), that will later be presented to our executives or clients. 
• Opportunities to gain new skills and elevate the ones you already have, all in a robust and forward-thinking business setting.
• Identifies current or future problems or opportunities, analyzes, synthesizes and compares information to understand issues, identifies cause/effect relationships and explores alternative solutions to support sound decision making.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Must be CURRENTLY located in NYC. This is an in-person position. If you are not currently in the city, we still encourage you to apply-- but please send us a message with your date of return to NYC.

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear, compelling, and straightforward manner.

• Mature judgment and individual initiative (basically we want someone who’s a self starter and is ready to execute and go go GO!).

• Ability to work independently and within established deadlines.

• Be a part of a high performing team that is constantly evolving and seeking ways to improve while working on exciting and dynamic projects. 

• You have a desire to take action, try new things, and fail fast so you can grow quickly. All plants need watered to grow. 

• Love exploring and encouraging your team’s use of digital tools for analytics, collaboration, visualization, communications and more.

• Remember, if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere. Experience isn’t necessary, but hunger and motivation are of utmost importance.

THIS JOB WOULD BE GOOD FOR…

• Students pursuing a degree in marketing, business, communications, advertising, etc. (even if you’re pursuing a degree in philosophy and you’re a good writer, we encourage you to apply, we want everything!). 
• Anyone who is interested in real estate, marketing, advertising, business, whatever! 
• Those who have experience with creative or business writing.
