    Technical Service Internship (Construction Chemicals, Summer 2019) Department: Engineering Location: Kansas City, KS START YOUR APPLICATION Looking to start a career in construction / building materials! Interested in seeing the country, spending time on job sites and building lasting partnerships? Look no further than Dayton Superior and our Technical Service Internship. This role is focused on providing level one, onsite product support and expertise for Dayton Superior's chemical epoxy overlays for roadway bridgedecks throughout the United States. The ideal candidate will possess great communication skills and a strong desire to excel in the construction management / chemical products industry as they will be interacting with general contractors throughout multiple job sites across the United States. This is a paid internship, the role features heavy travel during the course of the internship. All travel is also 100% company paid along with all lodging and meal expenses while on the road. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Extensive travel nationally in the USA visiting multiple roadway and bridge construction sites throughout the United States. Travel will be both via car and airplane. * Serve as chemical product expert to general contractors and crew applicators, interacting and providing product support when requested. * Ensure product is applied correctly to technical specifications and answer any questions as they arise. * Provide basic troubleshooting on epoxy pumps in the field, escalate any critical failures to management. * Provide product demonstrations and technical specifications to both internal and external stakeholders in the field and via phone. * Complete job reports for company record, ensure highest level of accuracy and detail. QUALIFICATIONS: * Entering Junior or Senior year of degree program in construction management, engineering, chemical engineering or other related field. REQUIREMENTS: * Candidate must be able to travel extensively (up to 5 days per week) for at least an 8 week period suring summer of 2019- dates can be flexible based on academic calendar. * Ability to work rotating or off shifts based on customer / contractor needs. * Strong ability to self manage and communicate with diverse groups of people.
