  • Responsibilities

    Flexion is currently seeking a REMOTE Senior Microsoft365 Engineer for our client, a Microsoft Partner specialized in MS Infrastructure projects for large and medium sized enterprises, located in Minneapolis. This will be a Direct Hire position with our client. 

     

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Senior consultant with a deep experience in configuration, implementation and tuning of the M365 platform in complex and large-scale enterprise, multi-vendor environments.
    • This consultant will be an expert on M365 and be responsible for providing design, engineering and support for the implementation of the M365 environment. Specific responsibilities include:
    • Perform client consultation: planning, design, and implementation of Microsoft infrastructure, related hardware, and cloud services
      • Have a background/ keen awareness of identity management, device management, general M365 in addition to knowing Exchange Online.
      • Knowledge of Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint are also key to success since those platforms are effectively melded.
    • Assist in the management of projects using Ascent's project management methodology
    • Ensure a stable performance of the M365 environment for enterprise clients
    • Create and execute test plans to meet project requirements for assigned components
    • Provide high quality content deliverables using the appropriate document templates
    • Ensure solution is implemented as designed to the customer's satisfaction and approval
    • Manage time and expense to meet or exceed expectations defined in the Statement of Work
    • Identify and communicate potential opportunities for cross selling to the sales team
    • Continuing education and certification is required
    • Able to operate as an effective individual contributor and as a team member
    • Work with services managers, sales executives, project managers and customers to manage expectations
    • Participates in the pre-sales process
    • Creates and leads design workshops that solve for business solutions
    • Educate and train internal and external customers on solutions and services
    • Creates and maintains collaboration practice intellectual property

     

    Qualifications, Years of Experience and Education Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, a related technical degree or equivalent
    • 5+ years experience in the delivery of complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation and support
    • Other Required Qualifications
    • Minimum two years consulting experience
    • Seven + years direct experience with deploying and managing Microsoft technologies
    • Expert knowledge of O365
    • Experience with architecting, designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft technologies
    • Experience with Office 365 and/or Exchange on-premises
    • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business 2015/2019 and Skype for Business Online
    • Experience with Windows 2012/2016/2019 Server/AD domain infrastructure
    • Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs
    • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
    • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment.
    • Create technical documentation

     

    Preferred Skills

    • Knowledge of third-party identity providers like Okta, Safenet, Sailpoint are good things to have.
    • Understanding of third-party email services like Gmail, IronPort, Mimecast and Proofpoint
    • Background in manufacturing, retail and other mid to large sized organization is a plus

  • Qualifications
    • Strong communication, leadership and negotiation skills
    • Must possess a strong Safety record and mindset when it comes to starting every process with Safety being the foundation for any Maintenance function and Equipment repairs, including Lock Out Tag Out procedures and Live work processes.   
    • Strong Electrical background; 24V DC up to 480 V AC for trouble shooting purposes. Able to use necessary testing equipment. Prior ARC Flash Training
    • A working knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems for diagnostic purposes.
