POSITION SUMMARY AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with other developers on an agile scrum team to develop and enhance XSPOC, an industry-leading oil and gas optimization platform. Design and implement features throughout our technology stack (SQL Server, C#/VB.NET, Winforms). Develop algorithms that model physical oilfield systems, optimize equipment productivity, or communicate with controllers in the field. Help generate solutions that advance the cutting edge of the oil and gas production industry.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement new features and maintain legacy features throughout XSPOC
- Partner with engineers to develop code that models, analyzes, and optimizes production equipment
- Implement and use libraries that communicate with and control oilfield equipment
- Design and implement new user interfaces in Winforms, WPF or HTML5Participate in architecting, refactoring, and improving code
- Contribute to scrum efforts and meetings to improve team efficiency
- Learn from and coach other team members to transfer skills and domain knowledge

EDUCATION, LICENSING, AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE
Required
- Two (2) or more years of professional experience developing .NET applications
- Experience developing and maintaining features in layered architectures (MVP, MVC, MVVM)
Preferred
- Experience working on large projects on multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with SQL-based database development using SQL Server or similar
- Experience with hardware automation and communication technologies
- Experience with the oil and gas production industry
- Experience with team-based software and processes (Agile Scrum, Pull Requests, Source Control, etc)
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
Required
- Comfortable writing code in both C# and VB.NET
- Ability to design and implement algorithms for calculations, communication, and data management
