MISSION:
Maintain Item Master also cleanup & setup items using Oracle. Cleanup will help the item flow through the MRP system giving the Forecaster/Planner/Scheduler a good action notice when replenishment is needed. Cleanup will also help to replenish inventory at the correct division when they dip below their stock level. Setup is needed when new vehicles require parts we do not carry. New items are setup weekly. Knowledge of the Item Master is of high importance, understanding what boxes need to be checked/unchecked and the replenishment system is what drives MRP, Reorder Point & Min/Max Levels. Calling and/or emailing suppliers on past due purchase orders to prevent running out of stock or below our stock level which can cause a down vehicle. Update the Inventory Category Values Report weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly. Pull the categories with increase dollars and identify the items causing the increase in dollars to send to the Mgr. Prod. & Inventory Control for review.
