Counselor in Residential program for Foster Youth EE's Residential Group Homes, Inc - San Jose, CA $3,788 a month This is a31/2 day LIVE IN(54 hour per week) position running a residential program for 12 to 18 year old female or male at risk foster youth or probation youth. We are looking for a motivated, hardworking, compassionate individuals to run an adolescent program. (EEs) provides a residential program with opportunities for skill development and emotional growth for children whose emotional and behavioral problems have exhausted the resources of their communities. The childs needs are met through structure, supervision, education and bonding with five other children and staff as a family unit. SHIFTS: Saturday 6 pm to Wed 10 am OR Wed 10 am to Saturday 6 pm. Facility Managers and Direct Care Staff would be responsible for: monitoring daily chores school drop off and pick up court appointments doctors appointments, medication distribution, documenting behaviors maintaining eye sight supervision general supervision help with meal preparation outings in the community such as hikes, movies, sporting events, etc This is a very fast paced, demanding job with many rewards. It will afford individuals the opportunity to reach out and be a role model and mentor. Teaching young adolescents how to re-enter society with the skills they need to survive everyday life. Great Experience for individuals looking to go into probation, law enforcement or social work. Use of Trauma informed care, strength based programing, handle with care (all training will be included and may required on off shift) to help guide these adolescent youth to the next phase of their life. Must have a BA/BS or 2 years full time paid exp. in this field.
