    Halfaker has an opening for a PROGRAM MANAGER to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:

     

    • ​Apply management and leadership skills to provide project management to ensure that project outputs are delivered on time, within agreed-upon scope, and within budget; monitor and control scope, schedule, and cost to enable program outcomes and deliver high-quality work products that trace back to objectives and acceptance criteria
    • Build and maintain relationships with program management, clients, stakeholders, and teaming partners; proactively monitor project performance, stakeholder priorities, and manage program focus, direction and team activities accordingly
    • Learn and understand project goals and outcomes, decompose project objectives into actionable work packages and activities, and manage resources within schedule constraints
    • Oversee the creation and submission of project performance reporting deliverables
    • Mentor project team members and identify career development opportunities for staff; provide clear direction and regularly communicate expectations and feedback to team and individuals
    • Identify, manage, and communicate project risks and issues; identify and implement risk mitigation strategies and monitor (and minimize) risk project wide
    • Conduct project activities in accordance with defined/required project management life cycle processes
    • Provide input into project management life cycle processes governing project execution to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency
    • Manage with staffing approach, organization chart, and resource requests
    • Create a high-level work schedule
    • Own and manage action items, conduct project launch, initiate and plan activities in accordance with company Project Management Framework
    • Provide executive team with briefings on progress, updates, status, and next steps​

    Required Experience

    • ​Government consulting/contracting experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 10+ years of overall experience
    • 5+ Years of Program Management experience
