Job Title: Mechanical CAD Detailer Job Summary: Produce all drawings and sketches required by field and shop personnel to fabricate and/or install plumbing and HVAC piping systems in compliance with national and local codes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Provide necessary design and coordination drawings : * Underground drawings * Shop drawings and detail drawings * Sleeve penetration drawings * Coordination drawings * Prefabrication drawings * As-built drawings * Read and understand contract drawings, schedules, & specifications. * Prepare design / drafting on AutoCAD 2016, AutoCAD MEP 2016 & Navisworks 2016. * Be able to work closely with Project Managers and associated personnel relating to contract changes, equipment buyouts, RFI's change orders, etc. * Actively be involved with the job supervisors, foreman and Project Managers to provide information and assist in the solution of design related problems. * Have a good knowledge of the construction process. * Working with the Prefabrication Department in the fabrication of work going to the field. * Attend coordination meetings with various trades as a repersentative of F&G Mechanical. * Navigate folder structures to locate and retrieve required information in job folders. * Understand file naming conventions to have the ability to send or receive and accurately place files in approiprate locations.
