Account Payable Associate Encompass Supply Chain Solutions 11 reviews - Lawrenceville, GA 30046 Job Title: Accounts Payable Associate Department: Accounting Reports To: Accounts Payable FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly Summary: The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for assisting both the Controller and /or A/P supervisor with daily operations relating to accounts payable duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Process high volume of invoices, as well as vouching and reconciling the purchase orders to the invoice(s). * Follow up with vendor on all short ship inventory parts not received at the time the invoice is received. * Responsible for researching vendor inquiries, unidentified invoices, statement reconciliation(s), etc. * Assist in compiling information for audits. * Perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications: * 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience a plus * Experience with multi locations a plus * Ability to perform tasks and interact with people at all levels within and outside the organization * Ability to determine which items require referral to A/P Supervisor or others * Understanding of fundamental accounting concept and systems in a multi-location/entity environment * Strong problem-solving skills * Strong organizational skills ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines * Maintain high standards of customer service, professional ethics and confidentiality * Maintain positive professional attitude in stressful situations * Self-starter with ability to work both independently and within a team Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent, previous accounts payable experience Mathematical skills: Basic math skills ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but un-involved written or oral instructions.
