A busy, cutting edge, established real estate law firm searching for a hungry and driven legal assistant. Real estate is a very exciting, and ever changing field of law. We need someone with a desire to learn about this ever-changing field. Our top priority is our clients, so being warm, welcoming, and sociable is ESSENTIAL. Law school will teach you philosophies, but our firm can teach you all the practical knowledge you need. If you add value, we would love to expedite you into a full-time paid position. 

As an intern/assistant, you will… 

• Serve as the Keeper of the Gate– you make the clients feel like they are corresponding with someone they can trust, whether it be via phone call, email, or in person.
• Filing (physical and electronic), copying, scanning, organizing office supplies
• Conduct research on city websites for information pertaining to cases (DOB, ACRIS, etc.)
• Coordinate with clients and lawyers to schedule meetings
• Calendaring deadlines, hearings, meetings, court appearances, etc. via Google Calendar
• Submitting filings accurately and in a timely manner

What we’re looking for…

• MUST be located in NYC, this is an in-person position that we’re looking to activate ASAP
• Some familiarity (or interest) with Legal Research
• Proficiency in Google Calendar, Excel, Dropbox, Microsoft Word, scanning, faxing, etc.  
• Think broadly/big picture
• Extensive experience isn’t necessary, but hunger and motivation are of utmost importance
• Add value, even in the smallest places 
• Get a kick out of figuring things out
• Working independently, you complete known daily tasks and help support the team with the completion of theirs as needed.
• Embrace attention to detail, transparency and accountability
