Fall Co-Op - Resource Planning & Program Support

JOB SUMMARY:

Supports the annual AOP and LRP resource planning cycles for the engineering organization, working closely with Finance and organizational leadership to gather, process, and analyze headcount and resource data. Assists in the development and maintenance of internal planning tools, with growth opportunities in broader program management support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Resource and Headcount Planning (Primary Responsibility)

• Supports collection of headcount inputs from directors and functional leadership across the engineering organization.
• Processes headcount bid data and builds comparison views used by directors and program managers to evaluate staffing gaps, resource constraints, and program planning impacts.
• Coordinates regularly with Finance to ensure data processing and budget impacts are accurately captured throughout the AOP and LRP cycles.
• Supports the incorporation of bid results into long-range portfolio planning tools, informing scenario development for senior leadership decisions.

Tools and Process Support (Shared Responsibility)

• Supports the development and maintenance of internal planning tools used for headcount bidding and portfolio planning.
• Assists in defining tool requirements and coordinating with software development resources.

Program Management Exposure (Growth Opportunity)

• Gains exposure to basic program coordination activities, such as budget tracking and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other related field.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office software; experience with VBA is a plus.
• Experience with MS Project, ProjectLibre, or similar scheduling tool/software is a plus.
• Experience with software development or coding is a plus.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
