    POSITION PROFILE:

    Knoll is looking for a seasoned, passionate leader to take on the role of Head of eCommerce, Omnichannel DTC. This is an opportunity to own and drive one of the most important initiatives in the company.

    As the Head of eCommerce, you will have the opportunity to shape, build and lead eCommerce strategy, execution, and performance across web and mobile for the Knoll and Muuto brands. You will play a vital role in all aspects of our eCommerce business - from platform strategy and merchandise development to site experience and managing the P+L.

    You will be responsible for achieving top-line and bottom-line sales plans, conversion goals, usability performance targets plus broader brand and company objectives. You will work cross-functionally with IT, product, marketing, and operations to drive our eBusiness. You will lead a growing and talented team that is focused on delivering and executing actionable insights and recommendations that inform day to day business and long-term strategy for our brands. In partnership with the broader marketing team, you will identify new revenue opportunities and manage the roadmap to implement new products and services to meet these opportunities. You will manage all paid media and analytics as well as the overall eBusiness roadmap and the launch of new features.

    We are looking for a highly versatile and well-rounded leader, someone who can create and lead a team in driving strategy but can also roll up their sleeves and get help execute. This role will directly oversee all paid media, affiliate, CRM, ecommerce Merchandising, site merchandising/creative & user Experience, site operations & analytics.

    This role reports into the SVP Omnichannel DTC.

     

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

     This leader will be a critical driver of growth by executing in the following areas.

    • Commercial ownership of eCommerce business performance and digital marketing budget
    • Lead cross-functional execution of key prioritized initiatives.
    • Lead the development, launch, and scale of new and/or expanded omnichannel initiatives (i.e. Buy Online Pickup in Store, Curbside Pickup), partnering with shop/retail, operations, marketing, merchandising, planning, operations, finance & IT
    • Oversee the online marketing & web analytics leads to define the web analytics/marketing guidelines, as well as partner with the Director of Web Services to assess the eCommerce infrastructure to integrate new analytical tools for analysis and efficiency.
    • Cross-functional partnership in executing omni-channel campaigns – owning the end-to-end eCommerce channel execution of these initiatives.
    • Informed POV on site UI/UX opportunities for optimization of conversion & margin – for website, mobile, and any new upcoming distribution channels
    • Initiate and drive for development, integration, and ongoing support of any new technical strategies or processes in relation to web page design and optimization, applications development, and SEO.
    • Develop “go-to market” strategy for each initiative; develop phasing, timeline, key milestones etc. • Work with analytics team to identify omnichannel business reporting and support ad hoc or reoccurring data requests from business partners and leadership!
    • On-going monitoring of site KPIs and performance

     

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline required; MBA is strongly preferred.

     

    Required Experience

    • Previous P&L Ownership
    • Must have 10-15 years of strategic E-Commerce management experience, preferably within retail, with the proven ability to develop and implement a successful e-Commerce strategy; 5+ years of Director level experience required. Preference for someone with deep expertise leading omnichannel programs at top retailer.
    • Prior experience in some or all the following areas is essential: search engine optimization, online/mobile marketing, web analytics, web merchandising, customer service, and eCommerce order fulfillment and distribution/shipping.
    • Proficient understanding of CRM solutions and practices.
    • Highly analytical with knowledge and experience utilizing Web Analytics software
    • Strategic approach, sound business judgment, and entrepreneurial mindset are essential.
    • Comprehensive understanding of business modeling, planning, budgeting, and online marketing.
    • Thorough knowledge of emerging industry trends, competitors, distribution channels, and customer base.
    • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to create project plans and manage project activity to the defined plan.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others outside of their direct reporting lines.
    • Loves being part of a team, both leading and serving; demonstrated deep commitment to colleagues.
