If so, Gene Juarez Salons & Spas offers Apprentice level training for licensed hair stylists that want to learn advanced skills through one on one training and assisting our top performing artists. An Apprentice will cover extensive, in depth training while mastering the most on-trend services that the industry has to offer, while contributing to the overall functions of the Salon. Reports to: Salon & Spa Director (in salon); New Hire Education Manager (during training) We Offer: Insurancemedical/dental/life/vision and short term disability (For eligible employees) 401K retirement with Company matching Paid time off Paid initial training Continuing education Generous product discounts and service discounts Responsibilities This role will be responsible to: Attend and fully participate in all color training sessions (this includes securing models) Shampoo, rinse, condition hair and scalp Style hair using hot tools and other products Assist in supporting salon operations such as front desk, dispensary or spa support when necessary Advance client relationships through excellent customer service techniques Qualifications Our ideal candidate will possess the following: Active Washington State cosmetology license Demonstrate a professional response to instruction, coaching, and constructive criticism Active listening skills and high attention to detail Clear verbal and written communication skills Full-time flexible scheduling availability (including nights and weekends) Travel Requirements: Must have adequate transportation for training at several salon locations As part of our standard hiring process for new employees, employment with Gene Juarez Salons and Spas will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
