    The mission of the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become leaders of character, motivated to lead the United States Air Force in service to our nation. 

    The Center for Character & Leadership Development (CCLD) plays a pivotal role in the USAFA mission by developing, administering, and assessing programs designed to promote leadership and character scholarship.   

    Aleut Aerospace Engineering is a certified 8(a) Alaska Native Corporation that manages the Advisory and Assistance Services Contract at USAFA to provide professional technical support on a wide variety of activities.  Aleut’s mission mirrors that of USAFA, with an integrity-centric team focused on delivery of exceptional solutions, service, and value. 

    Aleut Aerospace Engineering is currently searching for a Professional Development Specialist to support the CCLD team.  Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: 

    • Assist the Development Division Chief with design, refinement, and/or facilitation of seminars and curriculum focusing on professional development for approximately 30 senior USAFA Permanent Party
    • Assist the Development Division Chief with arranging venues, registering participants, and scheduling facilitators for Permanent Party Professional development (P3D) Seminars and other events hosted by CCLD
    • Advise the Development Division Chief on approaches to market the P3D program’s objectives and assist with producing overview briefings, white papers, and marketing data about the P3D program’s elements, registration process, and other information as required
    • Attend periodic CCLD staff meetings and weekly management meetings
    • Monitor weekly and monthly project status information and provide weekly and monthly project status to the Development Division Chief via email, PowerPoint, and in- person

    Required Skills Required Experience

    Required Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in leadership, organizational management, or behavioral sciences is required
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in the development and execution of professional development curricula is required
    • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with proven presentation experience is required
    • Coaching credential from an accredited source (e.g. the International Coaching Federation) is desired
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Marketing background is desired
    • Familiarity with Air Force rank structures is desired.

    QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSES:

    • 7 to 10 years experience supporting MILSATCOM software and databases.
    • Bachelor's degree in related field, Master's degree preferred.
    • Active secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
