  • Responsibilities

    To ensure the delivery of competent, high quality clinical care in a caring compassionate environment.

    Answers routine questions.

    Takes accurate messages.

    Operation of telephone.

    Handles routine questions on department operations.

    Receives complaints and aware of how to initiate protocol.

    Demonstrates effective communication skills.

    Orientation to hospital campus and ability to provide accurate directions.

    Demonstrates written and oral communication skills.

    Attentive to details.

    Plans, organizes, gathers and assembles data.

    Demonstrates knowledge of common formats for correspondence and reports.

    Use of department specific equipment.

    Accurately opens, sorts, and routes mail.

    Monitors inventory and orders supplies.

    Completes Inpatient orders accurately and in a timely manner.

    Manages inventory well.

    Sustains adequate inventory of controlled and non-controlled drugs.

    Documents drug transactions accurately.

    Demonstrates accountability and responsibility with Pharmacy equipment and software.

    Oversees third party reimbursement and coverage for Outpatient prescriptions consistent with insurances, regulatory agencies and hospital policy.

    Required Skills

    Minimum Education:

    High School Graduate or equivalent.

    Required Experience

    Minimum Work Experience: Problem solving, customer service and reception duties, preferable in a clinical setting.


    Required Licenses [Kentucky, United States] Pharmacy Technician
    Kentucky, National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
