    MISSILE TRAJECTORY ENGINEER

    Systems Engineering Group, Inc. (SEG) is a highly regarded provider of air and missile defense threat engineering and combat, radar, and missile systems engineering and analysis. Principal customers include the U.S. Navy, Missile Defense Agency, and Industry. SEG is headquartered in Columbia, MD and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Telephonics Corporation.     Positions are currently available for Missile Systems Engineers. Candidates will contribute to design and analysis activities in support of various missile defense initiatives.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

    The development of ANALYTICAL MODELS and tools to characterize THREAT BALLISTIC AND CRUISE MISSILE PERFORMANCE.

    These include supporting ongoing activities in developing a high fidelity Six Degrees-of-Freedom digital flight simulation environment, generating digital data and supporting documentation, and interfacing with government customers and prime contractors to establish performance requirements and specifications.

    SEG provides outstanding training to grow the capacity of staff in relevant areas.

    Required Skills

    Candidates must possess a degree in AEROSPACE OR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (advanced degrees preferred).

    5+ Years work experience.

    Candidates should demonstrate experience and capability in one or more of the following areas: Analysis and Modeling of Ballistic and Cruise Missile Systems including Vehicle Design and Operation, Flight Dynamics, Missile Propulsion System Design, Performance Analysis, Supersonic/Hypersonic Aerodynamics Prediction, Missile Navigation, Guidance and Control, and Flight Test Data Analysis.

    “The candidate must be a US citizen and have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance.
