    The School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science at the University of Montana invites applications for a Clinical Physical Therapy Instructor who will serve as a core faculty member and orthopedic residency program director. This contract position will include teaching, scholarship, service, and clinical practice as commensurate with rank and a commitment to advancing the mission of our Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Candidates will be able to teach within two or more needed content areas. Projected teaching needs include but are not limited to portions of musculoskeletal management, clinical reasoning, prevention and wellness, and practice and administration curriculum. We seek candidates who demonstrate initiative and an ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, clinicians, and others with diverse backgrounds.     Position Details

    • Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, MUS Contract and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including Insurance package, mandatory retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, and wellness program.
    • Salary for this position is $87,500-$92,500 per year commensurate with qualifications.

    Required Qualifications

    • Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of clinical practice as a physical therapist.
    • Candidate must hold or be eligible for PT licensure in Montana.
    • Didactic teaching experience.
    • Experience with web-based and software technologies.
    • Strong communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
    • Able to contribute scholarship commensurate with rank.
    • Able to contribute service commensurate with rank.
    • Orthopedic or Sports Phys Therapy Clinical Specialization.
    • Clinical residency experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous ABPTRFE residency director.
    • Credentialed Clinical Instructor.
    • Evidence of excellence in clinical instruction in a 2:1 model.
    • Prior experience in leadership roles.
    • Evidence of engagement in professional organizations.
