Health Center assistant supports the nurses and physicians in a 24/7 clinic and urgent care environment. Working to ensure the safety and good health of the entire camp community.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide basic and reasonable care, such as PO fluids, application of band-aids, ice packs, etc under the direction & supervision of RN, Obtain general intake information from presenting camper regarding their chief complaint. This will include obtaining and recording temperature, heart rate, and oxygen saturation; assisting RN during medication administration times to help limit interruption by campers; cleaning patient rooms & turning them over, checking stock of health center supplies; assembling first aid kits; assisting camp physician and camp director with any requests; routine bunk checks at the direction of RN for epi-pens/inhalers, record keeping in online systems for documentation and communication (CampMinder and Slack), maintain confidentiality per HIPAA privacy rule;.

Students with interest in medical or nursing field preferred.

First aid, CNA or EMT. Personable, friendly, computer savvy.
