Position Description The primary goals for VDC interns are to gain an understanding of the construction process and to assist the VDC Engineers with all aspects of Virtual Design and Construction in support of the project. Position Requirements Essential job functions include: Familiarity with VDC resources, including software, hardware, and personnel Support Project Managers and Superintendents in office- and field-related VDC activities Involvement in 3D spacial coordination efforts 3D model detailing Management and coordination of subcontractor components of the model Involvement in 4D scheduling, 5D cost estimating, and 6D facility management Identification and resolution of clash detection and design issues Utilization of Prolog or other project-specific information management systems Submittal review RFI development Information exchange and file management Quality control and support of our safety plan Preferred qualifications: Strong communication Strong organizational skills Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel based templates, Autodesk Suite with the primary focus on 3D authoring tools and Manage Navisworks.
