We are currently seeking a candidate for our Shear Bay position to join our team for the weekend shift; Friday- Sunday. Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of the Shear Bay position include but are not limited to: * Ability to follow basic written instructions and diagrams. * Sets up and operates a variety of sawing machines, such as a table, bench, jig, hand, friction circular and hacksaws, to slot, groove, miter and trim metallic and non-metallic stock. * Physical demands of this position include the ability to load/unload, lift/stack, and push/pull materials weighing up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally (with the assistance of a co-worker). This position requires standing, squatting, walking and reaching constantly. * Vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. * Good hand eye coordination is required for this position. Required Experience: * 1+ years of related experience in an aerospace sheet metal environment. * 1 year of experience working with saws or cutting machines, particularly with the cutting of metals, is preferred * Able to interpret Aerospace blueprints a plus. * Team-player who can handle working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. * Quality oriented with a hands-on, do it right the first time personality. Physical Daily Demands: Constant (not restricted); Frequent (3-6 hours); Occasional (1-3 hours); Seldom (0-1 hour). * Lift/Carry/Push/Pull - Constant (Lift & Carry a maximum 50 lbs; Push & Pull a maximum of 10 lbs) * Standing/Walking - Constant * Twisting/Bending/Stooping - Frequent * Reaching (left and right) - Frequent * Wrist/Flexion/Extension (hammering) - Constant * Grasping (forceful) both hands - Frequent * Operate Foot Controls - Constant * Vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Educational Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED * Read, write, understand and speak English fluently.
