    The Occupation & Environmental Health Department of the 711th Human Performance Wing within the Air Force Research Laboratory (711HPW/OETC) is looking for an experienced Industrial Hygienist. The OETC Branch needs to fill the DR-0690-02 position.

    Position Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Occupational health specialist utilizes the application of occupational health standards of practice to include chemical and physical hazards, develops human health assessment and risk mitigation strategies related to Air Force operations for all levels of the Air Force Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH) enterprise.
    • This includes DHA, Air Staff, AFMS, MAJCOMs and installations. Forms partnerships with AFMRA, AF Safety, and Air Force Preventive Medicine communities to ensure complete products are provided to the customers.
    • Researches, interprets, analyzes and applies DoD, DHA, USAF, and AFRL local regulatory guidance and policy directives pertaining to operations.
    • Ensures assigned programs adhere to the Program Management Institute (PMI) methods and procedures. Ensures all assigned programs conform with ISO standards 19011 (Audits), 9001 (Quality), 30401 (Knowledge Management), 14001 (Environment), 45001 (Occupational Health), and ANSI Z10 (Occupational Health).
    • This includes developing POEMS, ROADMAPS and metrics. Answers and responds to technical queries with timely and accurate information through established consulting service chains and ensures that program management/project teams are functioning to meet customer requirements.
    • Represents the organization and/or service component in professional forums, working groups and committees.
    • Promotes a culture where Intellectual Property (IP) is developed, documented, protected and encouraged.

    • Working knowledge/background of aerospace operations, objectives, principles, and methods.
    • 15 Years of experience
    • Develops broad human health assessment and risk mitigation strategies impacting workers.
    • The ability to resolve worker/customer concerns through analysis, resolution seeking, fact finding, and discovery.
    • Experience in technical problem solving in a group environment.
    • Demonstrates teamwork and consensus building among civilian/military personnel.
    • Possess and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Capability of applying knowledge management practices and organizational principles.
    • Experience in mission, major issues, program goals and objectives, work processes, and operations.
    • The ability to multitask and prioritize with strong organization skills.
    • Has strong background in organizing, coordinating, and executing team assignments.
