ABOUT THE POSITION

The Associate Principal/Principal forms a viable part of the Integral Group leadership team and is responsible for managing their respective Project Design Team. The Associate Principal/Principal provides leadership, technical support, and management resources essential to Integral Group for design decision-making and team management accountability.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works with the Integral’s Management Team to control and coordinate business development, sales/marketing, team targets, team personnel, technical design and related activities
• Develops, establishes, and administers procedures and systems pertaining to team management
• Prepares workload, sales forecasts, and team resources/schedule for administrative and managerial functions
• Serves as the principle liaison with selected clients and on major projects
• Upholds and maintains Integral Group design standards and will be responsible for engineering, specifications, documentation, standardization, quality assurance, cost and value analysis and the broader aspects of building services (plus role of Managing Consultant as required)

The Associate Principal/Principal will be fully responsible and accountable for their design team. The Associate Principal/Principal will review staffing regularly and distribute tasks effectively and consistent with staff skill sets. The Associate Principal/Principal will work with the People (HR) Department to make recommendations for staff hiring, terminations, and issues related to performance discipline.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 12-15 years of mechanical building systems design and/or sustainable design experience
• Superior interpersonal skills with clients and staff
• Demonstrated active listener
• Strong communication and coaching skills
• Project management experience
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Professional Engineer (CEng, PEng, PE or equivalent)
• LEED Accreditation
• Upholds, lives, and delivers the core values of the company
