Fill in when needed as laborer and other misc. duties as directed by supervisor. -Minimum Qualifications: -1. General education, GED or high school diploma or equivalent. 2. CDL Class A , Experience driving lowboy. 3. Minimum 2 years driving experience. 4. Must be familiar with operation of construction equipment. 5. Multi-axle low-boy driver 10 axle low-boy experience. 6. Portable crusher experience; with the use of jeeps/boosters. 7. Knowledge of current TXDOT laws and regulations. -Duties and/or Responsibilities: -1. The Low-Boy truck driver operates a truck that pulls a flat bed trailer equipped to transport construction equipment to and from the job sites. 2. Driver is required to have a working knowledge of DOT required hauling permits. 3. Driver is to have an operational knowledge of all construction equipment to be transported and be able to load and unload equipment from low-boy trailer. 4. Driver will be required to measure load height, length and width. 5. Driver will be required to tie down equipment using chains and binders. 6. Driver will, on occasion, be required to change trailers to a belly dump body to transport and dump loose materials, such as sand, gravel, crushed rock or paving materials. 7. May on occasion haul hot asphalt. 8. Driver controls levers that dump contents. 9. The position may also required the worker to operate a loader on occasion to load sand or gravel into the trailer. 10. Must be able to pass medical and physical requirements and acceptable driving record and required endorsements. 11. Need positive attitude, strong self-directed work ethic and the ability to work well with others / follow detailed directions. 12.
