    JOB SUMMARY

    Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

    Assist department head in developing and administering the various benefit programs including health, dental, vision, disability, life, FSA and 401K as well as paying monthly premiums. Monitors processing of employee benefit claims, counseling employees regarding benefits status and issues. Handles confidential health information, assist employees with Leave of Absence requests and claims. Maintains workers compensation and unemployment claims and records.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manages the Worker’s Compensation Program and OSHA reporting
    • Manages the annual EEO reporting
    • Manages the Employee Handbook and Career Page as it pertains to employee benefit programs
    • Represents the company for unemployment claims and fact-finding hearings.
    • Manages FMLA, NJFLA, NJFLI, STD, OSHA and/or Company discretionary Leave of Absence and Cobra
    • Assists HR Director with research and communication of various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
    • Manages the quarterly enrollment of the 401(k) benefit and assists with other benefits and compensation administration as required
    • Assists with employee and manager training initiatives and maintain the Managers’ Manual.
    • Responsible for administering all employee benefit programs (medical, dental, STD/LTD/LTC, Life, FSA and 401k, employee voluntary benefits)
    • Performs other HR work-related duties and special projects as assigned.
    • Responsible for managing open enrollment periods

    May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned


    METRICS

    Project and demand oriented as defined by the objectives set forth in the quarterly reviews and measured based on consistently meeting objectives, completion on time, accuracy and neatness of work, etc.

    Specific Metrics Include:

    1. Responsible for enrolling newly eligible employees in company benefits programs as well as Open Enrollment
    2. Must submit eligibility notice for all FMLA requests within 3 days and submit FMLA approval notice within 2 days of receipt of medical certification form
    3. Must ensure legal compliance with FMLA, NJFL, NJFLI, STD, VET and/or Company discretionary Leave of Absence, including but not limited to management of medical certifications, benefit payments and all pertinent documentation in a timely manner
    4. Must meet deadlines for assigned tasks and projects, as indicated in the quarterly review goals.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong computer skills; ability to learn and understand Radwell’s HRIS database (ADP WFN) to perform job tasks in an automated environment
    • The ability to research and analyze various different type of data information
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work; good time management skills and ability to multi-task
    • Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred
    • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
    • Must have the ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work; good time management skills and ability to multi-task.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Strong working knowledge of various benefit programs (ie. Health, Dental, 401k, Medical, Disability, Life, etc.)

    **KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED **

    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
    • Strong data integrity skills.
    • Strong problem resolution and analysis skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.
    • Able to work at fast pace
    • Working knowledge of both fully insured and self funding programs
    • Work well in a team environment.
    • Able to maintain confidential information
    • Working knowledge of various benefits programs
    • Strong proficiency with ADP WFN
    • Knowledge of International benefit process/program a plus

    **EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE **

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Human Resources related field
    • 5-7 years experience preferably in Human Resources or equivalent years of experience in a benefits/generalist role.
    • HRIS database maintenance, reporting, and familiarity with FLSA, FMLA, NJFLA, NJFLI, STD, AA/EEO, ADA, OSHA, EEO and related state and federal regulations preferred.

    **PHYSICAL DEMANDS **

    This is an office job and entails the physical demands associated with operating a telephone and computer (viewing monitor, keyboard, mouse)

    EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY

    • Introductory -- Will be written at approximately 80 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employee has sufficiently met and performed the job requirements, and will indicate whether employment will continue
    • Quarterly Reviews – Employee will be given a brief written quarterly review primarily focused on qualitative performance and measurement of activity
    • Annual Reviews – Employee will be given a formal regular annual review, which assesses productivity and demonstrated business skills and accomplishments for the previous period.

    WORK SCHEDULE

    8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday thru Friday. This is a minimum expectation. Often projects and assignments may extend beyond the normal workday based on department/company needs, deadlines and workload. Come to work on time and adhere to accepted time off policies.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The environment is a professional open office environment. It may be necessary from time to time to go to other office, plant and inventory warehouse environments relative to the requirements of the position.

    Dress attire is casual but professional in an office setting. All employees are required to wear Radwell access card and “Radwear” (shirt with company logo) at all times once the initial supply (at company expense) has been received. Radwell ID Badges and Access cards must be worn at all times. All employees must adhere to Radwell’s Safety Policies at all times.
