  • Responsibilities

    North American Roofing is a commercial roofing contractor in the United States. We are searching for a Director of Sales within Florida or one of the following locations: Atlanta, Memphis, Nashville, Charlotte, Birmingham.

    Lead the Regional Sales Managers by developing tools and resources to support the process of securing sales opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional, internal teams to ensure the sales team is securing the best opportunities and smoothly handing off the sold jobs to operations for North American Roofing

    • Develop clear vision, goals and objectives for the team that support company growth and goals/objectives.

    • Maintain metrics to track the performance of the regional sales managers and conducts data analysis to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.

    • Participate in establishing and guiding annual business planning.

    • Skillfully negotiates and settles differences between multiple stakeholders by resolving conflict and encouraging collaboration.

    • Identifies new business opportunities and potential markets.

    • Collaborate with other NAR departments to successfully transition/handoff sold jobs to operations.

    • Recruit, hire, train and manage the regional sales team to meet or exceed annual install and service goals.

    • Additional related duties as assigned.

    • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with Regional Sales Teams to review activity and pipeline production.

    • Coach and mentor Regional Sales Managers to develop & enhance industry and sales aptitudes.

    • Fosters an environment of professional development and growth for the team.

    • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.

    • Attend meetings with Regional Sales Managers and customers when needed/required.

    • Review and approval of PTO requests, expense reports, and other administrative duties.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Minimum of 4-year degree in business or related field.
    • 5+ years of B2B sales team management experience
    • 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, facilities, and/or commercial construction sales
    • Strong skills in relationship building, presentation, critical thinking/problem solving, prospecting, and closing.
    • Demonstrated adeptness of sales processes, cycles, and pipeline development.
    • Ability to clearly communicate and negotiate in challenging sales situations.
    • Ability to achieve productivity goals as outlined by organizational metrics.
    • Process oriented with a focus on business intelligence and data driven decision making.
    • Must be able to pass a motor vehicle driving review.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications

    Working Conditions:

    • Work is performed in a hybrid, general office environment.
    • Repetitive bending and stooping with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds is required. Must be able to climb a ladder(s) to rooftops and traverse different roofing materials to examine customer roofs.
    • Repetitive finger/hand/forearm motion necessary for completing data entry. Ability to manipulate keyboards, telephone keypads, and other office equipment is essential.
    • Talking and listening required for answering telephones and conversing personally with customers and staff. Manual dexterity required.
    • Travel may be up to 50% depending on RSM and customer needs/visits to sites by various modes of transportation such as car or plane.
    • Limited overnight travel for corporate meetings
    • Multiple consecutive hours working on a computer and viewing data on a computer screen
