The primary purpose of this position is to utilize logistics expertise to develop, implement, direct, and/or function as part of a logistics management operation for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright Patterson AFB, OH, in support of acquisition phases of assigned systems, programs, or major equipment.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- As a technical expert, responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating total, cradle to grave logistics management to support a complex, major weapons system from concept through field deployment.
- Develops, refines, analyzes, and issues logistics policies for assigned programs applicable to one or more DoD components.
- Exercises full program responsibility for automated logistics systems.
- Serves as a senior command representative and spokesperson in communicating program matters.
DUTIES MAY INCLUDE FOREIGN MILITARY SALES (FMS) :
- As an FMS technical expert, responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating total, cradle to grave logistics management to support a complex, major weapons system from concept through field deployment.
- Provides expert advice for complex FMS case management issues and ascertains that overall program performance is achieved as projected.

Required Qualifications
- Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade DR/DO-02/GS-13 for NH-04, DR/DO-01/GS-11 for NH-03, or DR/DO-01/GS-11 for NH-02 (or equivalent in other pay systems).
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to achieve/maintain Secret Clearance / SAP access.
- Prior program office/acquisition logistics, aircraft and/or electronic warfare experience is highly desired.
- Ability to conduct conferences, present plans, discuss policy, and resolve problems diplomatically.

- Knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition and logistics management processes and initiatives.
- Knowledge of the application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative assessment methods.
- Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the logistics management program processes.
- Skill in staff level planning, organizing, and overseeing critical aspects of development, production, and support of systems, subsystems, or equipment.
- Ability to integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of logistics functions in support of research, development, production, and support of a system, subsystem, or equipment.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
