Responsibilities Mortenson is seeking an Integrated Construction Intern with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This position will review, provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. Assist in planning, implementation, and coordinatation of VDC processes through appropriate technology platforms Organization, flexibility, outstanding customer focus and strong communication are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to: May include, but is not limited, to Mortenson BIM/VDC uses: existing conditions modeling, cost estimation, phase planning (4D), site analysis, design reviews, 3D visualization, 3D coordination, site utilization planning, construction system design, digital fabrication, 3D control planning, and record modeling. Provide point of contact for construction team members on VDC processes and reports during all phases of construction Document work process as it relates to enhancing and/or changing current company process standards Other duties as assigned: All integrated construction team members are expected to be active participants in Mortensons Integrated Delivery Advancement Team community of practice Knowledge sharing Daily work planning Project Assignment: Seattle Office Qualifications Required: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Construction or Civil Engineering. M ust be willing to work with a variety of individuals Reliable transportation Current drivers license Must be able to handle exposure to dirt, heat, noise, dust, and in a trailer office environment Preferred: Previous related internship experience A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 / 4.0 Currently enrolled in an undergraduate 4 year degree program Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills Ability to complete a twelve week internship Mortenson is an EOE/Affirmative Action/M/F/Veteran/Disabled employer.
