    Endpoint Security Engineer Information Technology St. Louis, Missouri Position at McCarthy Building Co Endpoint Security Engineer McCarthy Holdings, Inc. is seeking a full-time Endpoint Security Engineer. The successful candidate will work in Windows 7 and Windows 10 primarily on Dell machines, utilizing Microsoft Forefront/Defender Anti-Virus, Dell Data Protection|Encryption, KACE systems management, Carbon Black Protection, Carbon Black Defense, SecureWorks, Red Cloak, and Absolute Computrace and other technologies. McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is a 3B, 100% employee-owned, 150+ year old firm based in St. Louis, MO with offices nationwide. We serve the specialized construction needs of the large scale commercial construction market nationwide. Primary responsibilities: * Protect systems against unauthorized access and data theft * Configure and support endpoint security tools such as Windows firewall, anti-virus, patch management, data encryption, application whitelisting, etc. * Implement application security, access control, and corporate data safeguards * Analyze and establish security requirements for endpoints, including mobile devices * Conduct security audits and make policy recommendations * Provide technical security advice and best practices * Collaborate with other IT teams to remediate 3rd party penetration and vulnerability action items * Respond to endpoint security events and follow incident response procedures Qualifications: * Excellent technical knowledge of Windows endpoints * 1-2 years of previous security or similar experience required * Associates or bachelors degree in related field preferred Skills required: * Experience in desktop engineering/support and Windows operating systems * Hands-on technical experience * Proven experience managing security systems * Mobile device security experience preferred * Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with people at all levels in the organization, both inside and outside of technology * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines * High level of professionalism McCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer regardless of race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious beliefs, marital status, genetic information, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
