    Transportation Engineering Intern Moffatt & Nichol is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our Orange County office in support of roadway and highway transportation projects. The right candidate will be exposed to civil engineering design along with other disciplines, to meet project schedules and budgets, while working directly under licensed Engineers.Duties and responsibilitiesResponsibilities of this position include:Communicate effectively with those contacted in performing duties.Learn and apply established principles and practices of civil engineering.Exercise sound independent judgment within general policy guidelines. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties and to work as a team.Work under deadlines and coordinate several concurrent assignments.Duties include assisting a project manager with tasks associated with:Plan preparationCost estimatesReport writingSoftware design experience may include:Working with Microstation Autocad and other additional cad platforms Civil 3DQualifications: 0-2 years experience working with an engineering consulting firm Must be enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology program Experience working with or exposure to State DOT projects is a PlusStrong communication skills Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
