JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting directly to the Director of Technical Resources, the Product Line Specialist is part of a cross functional team assisting and supporting engineering, operations, field testing, sales, and marketing as subject matter experts on NDS wellbore placement technologies and their applications. This role is heavily rooted in working with rig instrumentation and M/LWD data to build knowledge and provide objective observations and recommendations for improvements in drilling efficiency, geosteering, and directional drilling to NDS operations and its customers. Engages in new technology developments playing an integral role in functional requirement specification, data analysis, measurement qualification, and continual improvement. Collaborate with Operator Geologists and Drilling Engineers to solve problems using NDS technologies Provide expert analysis of drilling dynamics and geo-steering measurements Publish and present industry papers on the application of NDS technologies in wellbore placement Hold quarterly companywide updates highlight interesting and applicable findings resulting from data analysis and customer collaboration Generate new product ideas to solve relevant industry problems Attend and present at industry conferences and events relating to wellbore placement Create and present training materials as needed Ability to communicate with all levels of management both internally and externally Provide technical support to NDUSA sales and marketing teams MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS B.S. in Geology or subsurface discipline, or B.E. in Mechanical, Petroleum or related discipline from an accredited university 4 Years oil and gas operations (MWD, Mudlogging, Directional Drilling, Wireline, Geosteering) 2 Years of rigsite or Real Time Operating Center experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS M.S. in Geology or subsurface discipline, or M.E. in Mechanical, Petroleum, or related discipline from an accredited university Experience with petrophysics and/or formation evaluation Experience working as a Drilling Engineer ESSENTIAL SKILLS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS Ability to travel 20% of the time Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to present eloquently to large groups Strong attention to detail Self-starting and able to complete projects independently in a timely fashion Willing to relocate if needed **Primary Location: **United States Of America-Texas-Houston-(Nabors Drilling, USA) Houston Office **Work Locations: ** **Job: **OPERATIONS **Organization: **Nabors Offshore
