Job Description - Drilling Solutions Engineer II Drilling Tools Specialist (1803334) -Job Description -Drilling Solutions Engineer II Drilling Tools Specialist -Requisition ID:1803334 -Description General Overview Advanced level engineering, sales, operations, Service Quality, reliability and customer support for NOV DH Drilling Tools product line. Product line specialist duties as required to support Area/Region. Evaluate and provide information on the performance of commercial as well as new products and technology. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: -Obtain, recognize and demonstrate relevant Core Competencies required for promotion to DSE 3. -Provide independent field operations support for drilling tools product line. -Through constant customer contact maintain accurate monitoring of activity, applications and competition. -Provide integrated multi-product solutions to clients. -Service center technical support. -Analyze tool performance data and prepare and present customer presentations, performance summaries and outstanding run reports. -Oversee field analysis for failed tool investigation and coordinate with Sales and Service Quality Group to provide and present applicable incident report to the customer. -Coordination between Drilling Solutions, Product Line engineering and reliability group. -Coordinate field testing of new products and help implementation of design improvements. -Make recommendations to enhance existing products to drive reliability. -Assist with the implementation of procedures, best practices following knowledge management processes. -Analyze drilling dynamics data to improve drilling tool performance -Promote the technical image of NOV in the local area through membership of industry groups. -Assist in training and mentoring of new engineers.
