    Job Description

    Responsible for working with the sales team and for providing clinical consultation and product differentiation to current and future key accounts and during the entire sales process, including implementation and post-sale activities. This includes participation during sales presentations, customer visits, conducting clinical assessments and consultations as they relate to clinical workflow, throughput and alarm management for Kaiser accounts. Responsible for remaining current on the market conditions and working with the key account sales team as well as the clinical applications team during the sales and implementation process.

    Must reside in the Pacific Time Zone, preferrably California, Arizona or Nevada.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

    • Serves as a clinical resource to the sales team and Kaiser key account prospects and current customers during the sales and implementation process by: o Making recommendations that will result in the best practice use of Nihon Kohden America Patient Monitoring Products. o Identifying and communicating opportunities for product improvement using direct customer feedback. • Answers technical product questions (pre and post-sale), and works with hospital clinicians to facilitate highest possible patient outcomes • Work with marketing, clinical and service teams regarding clinical applications of patient monitoring equipment, troubleshooting, clinical problem solving, new product releases and new software releases. • Participates in Kaiser sales presentations/demonstrations and organize clinical evaluations on live patients as requested. • Provides clinical support to the monitoring sales team when required by: o Serving as the clinical voice in a sale o Providing clinical input to facilitate technology adoption and workflow change management o Bringing best practices to the discussion table related to patient quality, safety and throughput • Conducts (Co-Creates) Clinical Assessment, assists with differentiating how NK products impact,  organizational workflow, safety, clinical, quality and financial goals as needed • Be proficient in articulating the benefits of the Nihon Kohden products as well as the Clinical Training Program. • Partner with sales team on customer site visits and acceptance of Nihon Kohden products. • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing CPHQ Certification within 18 months of hire Must possess a valid unrestricted nursing license issued within the U.S. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

    • Excellent presentation and communication skills
    • Presents a professional image with above-average customer service skills

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of critical care experience
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
    • Master’s Degree preferred but not required

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Effective presentation and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and other employees of the organization
    • Ability to effectively use technology to present information to customers
    • Working knowledge of Windows PC’s, is proficient in Microsoft Outlook email applications, and is efficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Office programs
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    TRAVEL: Frequent overnight travel (60-70%)

    SPEAKING: Able to speak and present information in front of small to large groups with one on one teaching

    PHYSICAL: While performing the duties of the job, is regularly required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or pull objects, tools or controls; reach with hands or arms; must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
