    Job Description

    This position is part of a group that is responsible for developing and performing manual and automated testing of medical products.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

    • Drives innovations and technical contributions to improve manual and automated testing.
    • Works on process improvements and projects to streamline activity.
    • Influences the strategy definition for building the eco-system around the testing and the products.
    • Contributes to the development and achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
    • Researching, evaluating, developing and applying new processes and methods into product development and testing.
    • Participate and review/analyze software requirements and designs.
    • Create software verification plans, test protocols, test reports, and software risk analyses.
    • Design and develop automated test framework.
    • Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts to test software.
    • Create requirements traceability.
    • Partner with developers and test engineers to improve and automate test and release processes.
    • Works effectively with cross-functional and/or global teams.
    • Readily shares information with other team members.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

    BS in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology, or equivalent work experience required.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

    • Expertise in the Software Development Lifecycle and/or the Software Testing Lifecycle.
    • Expertise with test frameworks, automation tools, static and dynamic code analysis.
    • Strong knowledge of C++, Java, or C# programming languages.
    • Strong knowledge of OOPs concepts and design patterns.
    • Strong knowledge of networking communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.).
    • Experience developing using scripting languages (Javascript, Ruby, Python, etc.).

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    5-8 years of software testing and/or software development experience

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Expertise in Software Development and/or Software Testing.
    • Able to work well independently and in a collaborative environment.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Detail-oriented and organized.
    • Have a passion for test infrastructure and CI/CD.
    • Possess an agile mindset.
    • Comfortable with constant changes and fast to adapt to them.

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

    • Experience leading tasks or projects to accomplish goals.
    • Experience with scrum methodology.
    • Experience developing software using TDD methodology.
    • Experience using source control.
    • Experience with cross platform product development.
    • Experience with cloud-based product development.
    • Experience developing products in the Medical space.
