Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing and 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support the Army Intelligence Cloud Initiative in support of the Army modernization campaign.
In this position, you will work alongside other SETAs, Systems Engineers, and Intelligence professionals to provide technical, operational, and strategic guidance for Intelligence modernization. The successful candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a proven self-starter capable of working both independently and with a team and is interested in solving complex problems.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to design, sustain, modernize tactical edge and enterprise infrastructure for DoD information systems
- Provide recommendations to advance prototyping and experimentation within the cloud
- Prioritize and execute both internal and partner network modernization efforts consistent with emerging DoD constructs
- Ability to collaborate and work within DoD community of interest to develop innovative solutions while advancing existing material solutions
- Design and sustain the cloud architecture to conduct data analysis, including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), data modeling, big data processing, and distributed computing as needed
- Ensure cloud security among cross-domain solutions
- Make recommendations in refining cloud requirements
Required Skills
- Knowledge of the science and technology underpinning DoD/IC platforms and capabilities
- Active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility
Required Experience
- Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and/or University with a concentration in Engineering, Business Management, or IT-related field. Experience may be used, in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 2+ years in designing, operating, integrating networks for Intelligence Mission Systems
- Minimum 3 years technical experience working with databases, processors, storage, and networks on one or more of the following platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform VMware or Oracle Cloud Platform.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Multi-Level Security, Cross-Domain policy, and technical cloud requirements
- Minimum 3 years in managing system designs
- Minimum 8 years in designing, operating, integrating networks for Intelligence Mission Systems
- Experience designing and integrating Intelligence Collection capabilities with Enterprise Networks and Transport Architecture
- DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II/III Certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Security +
- Demonstrated experience performing software or system development on Linux
- Demonstrated experience using DevOps Tools, including Jenkins, Nexus, Git, and Ansible
- Demonstrated experience with security features such as authentication and encryption such as IAM, Active Directory, KMS, TLS/SSL, FIPS 140-2 Compliant Encryption, or VPN
- Working knowledge of CISCO network and switching and virtualization technologies
- Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and sustaining Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure solutions (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS)
- Experience with Java; Load Balancing (Distribution of traffic across instances); Apache Web (Frontend angular web application); JBoss EAP (Backend REST services, Application Server); Apache Accumulo/Zookeeper (Database); POSTgres (User Management System); Message Queuing; Auto Scaling (System Capacity Adjustment); 500-27 Compliant Auditing; Role Based Access Management
- Experience with planning, tracking, and managing agile and software development, using Jira and Confluence
- Experience with container orchestration frameworks, Kubernetes and Docker Compose
- Experience with scripting languages, Bash and YAML
- Excellent problem-solving and customer-service competencies
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- AWS Certified at Associate level or above, Solution Architect Associate to Solutions Architect Professional
- Experience with design and processing data in Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, and Python
- Experience with the cloud Assessment & Authorization process including Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), Authority to Operate (ATO), and NIST standards
- Experience with Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
- Experience with Hadoop Storage and Parquet
- Familiarity with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tool
- Database administrator and data modeling experience
