Summary/Objective
The Presales Manager will provide customized business direction as well as coaching and training in order to franchise owners in maximizing profitability through successfully hitting preopen KPIs. The Presales Manager will communicate the performance level of the studios, assist in membership sales growth, conversion and retention. The position will implement business growth by insight into staffing, member/guest relations, and how to secure and convert foundation reservations. The Presales Manager will own the franchisee journey from the start of the presales journey through opening. The transition to the ongoing Franchise Business Coach will be managed between the Franchise business coaches in concert with the VP, Operations and will begin 30 days prior to the studio’s approved opening date.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide our franchise owners with operational and marketing support that will have a direct impact on the opening and long term profitability of their business. The position will work with franchisees to coach on pre sales, operations, converting to memberships and implement brand initiatives. The Presales Manager is responsible for enforcing brand standards at all times.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities of the Job
Travel time for NSO’s - 30%
Support brand excellence by leading, coaching and training franchisees in all aspects of business
Protect the integrity of the brand by teaching and measuring performance in areas including but not limited to the member experience, guest service, cleanliness, and profitability
Commit to brand success by being a strong business coach in all areas of membership sales, guest to member conversion, profitability, and brand standards
Monitor and ensure accountability for all aspects of studio operations and Pre opening KPIs.
Enforce brand compliance in all standard operating procedures
Communicate, train, and encourage sales building activities
Remain actively involved in any studio that is inconsistent with the company vision and expectations
Meet or exceed company sales and profit expectations at the studio level while maintaining standards in all areas
Meet or exceed monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics (first time guest to members)
Drive profitability at studio levels through direct management of strategic initiatives
Utilize and respond to Home Office support team and resources to drive results throughout the day
Interpret sales and P&L data to develop monthly/weekly/daily/per shift plans with the Owner-Operator to achieve sales and membership goals
Provide operational and safety guidance and education during site visits
Document adherence to Company compliance standards, improvements made, areas of opportunity, and direction on how to improve, if needed during coaching sessions
Review franchisees portfolios and have regularly scheduled business reviews to see growth potential and areas of opportunity
Coach and counsel franchisees to reach individual studio goals
Build Territory Relations by visiting all assigned studio locations at least quarterly depending on a performance level, communicating with franchisees via voicemail, e-mail, territory meetings, live webinars, individual franchise meetings and written communications.
Gains respect from franchisees to be recognized as an asset to the business and leader in the field
Provide direction and proficiency to franchisees and staff with regard to New Studio Opening & Training Hours
Requirements, Education, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Business Analysis or related field preferred
Similar role with a membership based franchise model preferred (3+ years)
Previous experience in gym, spa or massage franchise operations preferred (3+ years)
Excellent guest service skills

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be required to travel a minimum of 30% of the time to visit with the franchisee locations to provide coaching and New Studio openings. Team members may work late evenings and weekends when assisting in New Studio Openings. It is important to be willing to work until the job is completed, whatever time that may be.
