Lifestyle Engagement Assistant Presbyterian SeniorCare Network 17 reviews - Oakmont, PA 15139 Summary Assists in conducting and developing the (24-hour) lifestyle engagement program for residents. Implements activities assuring that each residents spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual needs are met, maximizing resident strengths and abilities. Documents resident progress in accordance with all state, federal and departmental guidelines and regulations. Duties and Responsibilities Under the guidance of the supervisor, implements a daily schedule of person-centered activities and programs to meet the needs of the residents and develops a program of appropriate activities for implementation to meet the social, spiritual, physical, and intellectual needs of residents. Welcomes new residents and performs the department comprehensive resident assessment within the designated time frame. Develops an appropriate plan of care. Maintains accurate documentation of resident participation, progress in meeting stated goals in compliance with State, Federal, and department/facility regulations and guidelines. Supports efforts of volunteers and community programs and schedules entertainers and community outings. Coordinates and assists all community members in implementing 24 hour lifestyle engagement programs under the direction of the supervisor. Participates in Care Conferences and neighborhood meetings as assigned by the supervisor. Participates in at least six (6) hours of dementia specific training annually. Completes all other duties, as assigned or as necessary, to meet the needs of the residents and the organization. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience Associate's degree (A. A.) preferred from an accredited college or technical school or a minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office or other word processing software.
