PURPOSE:
The main purpose of the Recruiting Specialist is to provide full-cycle recruitment for all non-provider positions throughout the organization and to maintain relationships with organizations in the community in regards to recruitment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the requisition process for all non-provider positions throughout the organization
- Maintain the career portal on the company website by promptly posting requisitions, updating career and company information for potential applicants to review and removing requisitions as they are filled
- Maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Open Hire
- Thoroughly review and screen applicants for all non-provider positions
- Respond to all applicant inquiries
- Recommend qualified candidates to appropriate Hiring Manager and schedule interviews accordingly
- Communicate with all internal candidates interested in department/position transfers
- Follow-up with Hiring Managers for post-interview feedback to continue the recruitment process
- Correspond with candidates not selected for interviews and those not selected for the position to ensure a positive experience for each candidate regardless of outcome
- Conduct criminal background check on selected candidates using Certified Healthcare online tools including but not limited to OIG Exclusion List and E-Verify procedures
- Conduct candidate reference checks as requested by Hiring Manager
- Review selected candidate’s prior experience and education to determine offer based upon Wilmington Health’s Salary Structure
- Extend offer to selected candidate and review full benefit package. Handle any counter-offer negotiations to ensure acceptance
- Establish selected candidate’s first day of employment/orientation date
- Notify Hiring Manager of acceptance/declination of offer and first date of employment promptly
- Notify Training Specialist of acceptance and new hire information to schedule orientation
- Create and send Wilmington Health’s Welcome Packet to each new hire
- Coordinate with Training Specialist on any unique hires for 1:1 orientation needs
- Transfer all pre-hire paperwork to HR Assistant/Benefit Specialist for electronic personnel filing
- Identify, establish and maintain relationships with local colleges/universities career services departments
- Attend appropriate career fairs and recruitment events
- Develop and assist hiring managers in the development of interview tools
- Write and post all advertisements for open positions using sources such as the newspaper, association website, job boards, school career services, etc.
- Manage internship, clinical rotation and externship program for the organization
- Communicate with Clinical Managers and providers to match students in pre-med and medical programs to match for rotations
- Conduct annual and as requested salary surveys to ensure Wilmington Health’s Salary Structure remains in-line with market salaries and is competitive
- Make recommendations in regards to any salary changes and/or any salary structure changes
- Manage job description development and revision process for all positions throughout the organization
- Complete EEO-1 report on an annual basis
- Complete monthly Turn Over and Time to Fill report.
- Meet with all new managers to review recruitment process and answer any questions in regards to recruitment
- Develop and maintain position control report
- Maintain and manage Careers e-mail communication
- Communicate recruitment updates on a regular basis to Hiring Managers and Senior Leadership
- Appropriately delegate recruitment tasks to HR Assistant
- Maintain and promote the Wilmington Health Recruitment Brand
- Assist in completing action items in HR Manual for Joint Commission Certification
OTHER DUTIES:
- Assist on general HR Projects
- Work with managers and IT on HR form issues/troubleshooting
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Human Resources

Required Experience
REQUIRED:
- Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field
- 2 years of recruiting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and general HR standards
- Specific knowledge of federal/state regulations/laws in regards to employment
PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
- 4 years of recruiting experience
- Healthcare industry experience
- PHR/SPHR Certification
