    We are seeking a dynamic and motivated PROJECT EXECUTIVE located in the San Francisco, CA office. 

    THE STRUCTURAL FRAMING DIVISION OF MITEK® USA INC., A SUBSIDIARY OF BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY, INC. is driven to provide innovative structural solutions to the commercial building industry focused around Building Envelope Design, Manufacturing, Steel Framing and Structural Engineered Designs.  

    Our Operations Department is looking for a talented PROJECT EXECUTIVE who will manage, develop, coach and retain a team of management and staff to perform all the functions needed to run an efficient and cost-effective project team. Establish performance expectations and monitor performance consistent with company and financial goals.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

    • Manage, develop, coach and retain a team of management and staff to perform all the functions needed to run an efficient and cost-effective project team. Establish performance expectations and monitor performance consistent with company and financial goals.
    • Ensure that relationships with the client, architects, and owners are being managed successfully to facilitate continuing progress on project construction and strengthening of business relationships with client(s).
    • Ensures fulfillment of client needs regarding master schedule of project, budgets, reports, meeting minutes, billing and collections. Collaborates with Estimating department to ensure project is priced according to client needs.
    • Responsible for complete project budget, ensures change orders falls within budget requirements.
    • Reviews project contract to determine most appropriate procedures, prepares budget projections and requirements.
    • Responds to problems in a timely, effective manner.
    • Maintains appropriate expertise to ensure effective, solution-oriented service level.
    • Must be able to perform all Project Manager duties.
    • Attendance in the office/field during normal business hours.

    EDUCATION

    • College graduate or equivalent; Construction Management or Engineering background preferable.

     

     

    EXPERIENCE

    • Prior experience working for a general contractor, mechanical subcontractor, or curtainwall subcontractor in the high-rise construction industry.
    • Minimum 5+ plus years of Project Management experience preferred.

     

     

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should be experienced with MS Office programs. 

     

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    Proficient in reading and understand architectural drawings, structural drawings, and curtainwall design drawings. A self-motivated career professional that enjoys detailed project work, strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and works well under pressure.  Position demands maturity, confidentiality, and the ability to interface with various departments and individuals.  Must be flexible and able to work independently or as part of a team, as workflows dictate. 

    Ability to develop procedures and training tools for increased efficiency. Travel and jobsite presence up to 50% time worked.
